Are you looking for a way to get more involved at Cornelius Elementary?  Are you interested in contributing your time and talent as a member of the PTO Executive Board?  Now is your chance!  We are currently seeking nominations for open positions on the 2015-16 Executive Board.  Open positions include: President Elect, VP Fundraising, VP Communications, Treasurer and Secretary.  For more information and position descriptions, please see the document coming home in Thursday folders tomorrow or click to see the Nomination Form.

Nominations are due by Thursday, February 19, 2015.  Elections will be held during the General PTO meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 6pm in the cafeteria prior to the 2nd/3rd grade performance.

If you are interested in running or making a nomination for an open position, please print and fill out the Nomination Form (or the one in tomorrow’s Thursday folder) and return it to your child’s teacher.

All our volunteers make a difference at CES and we thank you for considering contributing your time and talent to the PTO Executive Board.

We’re collecting Box Tops for Education, again!  Help give your student’s class the chance to win a party by clipping unexpired Box Tops off of participating products.  Please send all Box Tops to school in a ziploc bag or envelope, labeled with your student’s name and teacher’s name, no later than Thursday, February 12.  There will be one winning class per grade level, so the odds are very good.  You can even collect from neighbors and relatives.  We all have some Box Tops in our pantry!

Our school receives $.10 for each Box Top clipped, which adds up very quickly.  The school received a check for $1,000 from our October contest!  Proceeds go towards classroom grants, continuing education for our teachers and staff and other PTO sponsored activities.

What’s better than not having to cook dinner?  Not having to cook dinner AND supporting your school!  Tonight, a portion of the proceeds from every dine-in, carry-out or drive-thru order at Tenders in Cornelius will be donated to Cornelius Elementary.  Please mention CES when ordering.  And, don’t forget to tell your friends!  Their orders count, too. in the School Cafeteria

DJ, Dancing and Hors D’oeurves

$20 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter

Please RSVP by January 23 by sending in cash/check made payable to Cornelius PTO. 

Mothers are only allowed as volunteers and only Cornelius Elementary students may attend.  School dress code applies for the dance.  And, luau attire is optional, not required.
