2026-27 Executive Board

Lauren Pleiss – President
Lauren joined the CES PTO crew last year as Vice President, bringing with her a background in PR and a passion for creating memorable experiences. She thrives on building meaningful connections and loves finding creative ways to bring our school community together. Lauren’s favorite Cougar traditions include planning silly stunts for the Cougar Dash, cheering on students at the Celebrate the Arts Talent Show, and making Teacher Appreciation Week extra special. She and her husband, Patrick, are parents to two outgoing boys—Clark, who’s in 3rd grade, and Klein, who will be starting Kindergarten this year. Suzanne Landers – Vice President
Suzanne is thrilled to serve her first year on the PTO as Vice President! She previously lead Teacher Appreciation Week at CES and volunteered as a Room Parent for her daughter Charlotte’s kindergarten classroom. She loves being involved and getting to know the teachers and families at CES, and she is looking forward to taking the lead on the Room Parent program this year. Suzanne is mom to three children: Charlotte (6), who is entering first grade, Eleanor (4), and Tripp (18M). Her favorite CES traditions are the Cougar Dash and the Talent Show, which she loves for the school spirit, fun, and sense of community they bring to CES families. Allie Spencer – VP Communications
Allie is excited for her second year as Vice President of Communications, where she combines her love of writing with her dedication to building community at Cornelius Elementary. She enjoys keeping CES families informed through social media, newsletters, and PTO communications. Her daughter, Isla, is entering her last year at CES as a 5th grader, and her son, Quinn, is in 2nd grade. Before joining the PTO board, Allie served as a room parent and Book Fair Chair for three years. When she’s not volunteering at school, you’ll likely find her playing tennis at Jetton Park or spending time with her family. Contact Allie

Kate Curll – VP Partnerships
Kate has volunteered with the CES PTO for various positions (Book Fair co-chair, Beautification chair, Room Parent) and has now joined the board as Vice President of Partnerships. She enjoys finding ways to connect families with local businesses to help strengthen our school community beyond the classrooms. Her daughter, Caroline, isexcited to be headed into 4th grade and one of her sons, Alex, is eager to move up to 2nd grade; the youngest in the family, Andrew, will start kindergarten in the Fall of 2027. Jackie Davenport – Treasurer
Jackie moved to Cornelius from Boston in 2006 and met her husband Will, a native of North Carolina, in 2011. Jackie’s son Brandon is excited to be starting 3rd grade, while her daughter Sam is starting 6th grade at Bailey Middle School. Jackie has been a room parent and is actively involved in the school community, enjoying supporting her children’s educational journey. She is excited for her second year as Treasurer and contribute to the school’s continued success. Contact Jackie

Rachel Noreika – Secretary
Rachel is joining the CES PTO Crew for the first time this year. She enjoyed serving
as room parent for the past two years and volunteering on campus whenever
she can — especially with recess duty and the Scholastic Book Fair. She and her
husband, Matthew, are parents to beautiful twin girls, who will both be in third grade this year. Rachel is excited to get to know the school and all our amazing families even
