YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST

It’s time for our annual Yearbook Cover Contest!  Please have your child submit their original artwork to be entered in the contest for the 2015-2016 Cornelius Elementary School Yearbook Cover Contest!  No student is too young to enter!

Guidelines:

• ALL artwork must be completed by the STUDENT ONLY with no assistance from parents or siblings

• Please create your artwork on a regular 8 1/2 X 11” paper

• Please list students name and teacher on BACK of paper

• It is helpful to have the School Name and school year (2015-2016) within the artwork

Turn all entries in to your teacher by December 1st.  Principal Holbrook will review all entries and choose a winner.  The winner receives a FREE YEARBOOK!

We want your pictures for our yearbook. If you have pictures from power time, parties or other school events please email them to the link below. Please, send no more than 20 at a time and label them: event, teacher and grade.

Calling all CES Moms!

Please join us tonight, 11/10, at 6:30pm at Alton’s Kitchen & Cocktails in Cornelius. It’s going to be a fun night of mingling while enjoying great apps and dinner.  Alton’s is very generously donating a portion of food sales from this evening back to the school.  Enjoy a great night out and support the school – – it’s a win-win!

Wow!! We are completely blown away by each family’s tremendous efforts and support during the Cougar DASH.  This year’s DASH brought in over $27,000 for the school, exceeding our goal and well surpassing last year’s total.  What’s even more exciting is that because this is an in-house fundraiser, ALL of the funds raised go directly to support CES, its students, teachers and staff members.  We are incredibly thankful for your support of our school!  Go Cougars!

Don’t forget to join us for the “Scream Team Lunch” tomorrow, Friday, November 6 from 11:30-1:30pm. Be your student’s Scream Team and join them for lunch in the cafeteria and browse around at the book fair.  A Scream Team can be family, friends, neighbors or anyone who supports your student.  It’ll be a SCREAM!
