Our school needs your help, Cornelius families!  We are sure you’ve seen Principal Holbrook’s newsletter asking parents to complete an important stakeholder survey.  Our school needs 20% of its parents to complete this survey and, at current time, we are at 8.8%.  Please take a moment to read the information below and click on the link to complete the survey.  It only takes 5 minutes of your time!  Thank you for your help with this.

CMS is in the midst of the AdvancED accreditation process. A key component to that process is stakeholder surveys, which will be administered to parents, staff and student groups September 14^th through October 2^nd. The survey results will enable our school and central office leaders to hear from key stakeholders to inform improvement strategies, raise student achievement and strengthen our overall effectiveness. Taking the survey will also help stakeholders understand the AdvancED Standards for Quality Schools and provide a means for learning about what a parent, staff member or student may be looking for in a high-quality school.

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Thursday) is the General PTO Meeting and Curriculum Night, beginning at 6pm in the school cafeteria.  The PTO will be seeking approval of our annual budget at this meeting and answering any questions you may have.  Then, we will break for parents to head to your student’s classrooms.  As an added bonus, the PTO will be raffling off several prizes to those in attendance, so be there on time.  You don’t want to miss these!  See you tomorrow night at 6pm.

Tonight is Tenders Community Night!  Tenders is generously donating a portion of the proceeds from this evening’s sales to Cornelius Elementary.  You must mention CES whether you dine-in, carry-out or drive-thru.  Tell others in line to mention Cornelius, too!

We want to send out a big thank you to everyone who supported our 2nd Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser!  From those who attended the event, to those who made in kind donations, to our generous donors of auction items, and to our incredible teachers and staff for not only supporting us, but generously giving through the very popular “teacher experiences” auction items, we could not have had a successful night without you ALL. To those of you who were able to attend, we hope you had as much fun with our amazing school community as we did.  The room was buzzing with excitement and support, especially during our live auction.  It was a great night, so thank you!
