Tomorrow/Thursday is the final day of our Batty For Box Tops contest.  The class in each grade level with the most box tops will win a pizza party!  Thank you to all of you who have sent them in.  No amount is too large or small!

This just in!  The Cougar DASH schedule will be as follows:

Thursday, October 22

9:00-10:00am – 3rd, 4th and 5th grades

10:00-11:00am – Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades

We hope you’ll bring your spirit, noise-makers and signs and join us for the DASH to cheer on your runner(s).

Mark your calendars!  The Cougar DASH is coming on Thursday, October 22.  You are all invited to attend to cheer on your runners and join in the fun.  This is our largest in-house fundraiser of the year, meaning 100% of the funds raised go directly back to the school (vs paying another company to run the event).  Our goal is to raise $25,000 this year!

How can you help?  We need each CES family to start asking friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. to support your runner by sponsoring them with a per lap or a flat donation.  Donations will not be collected at school until after the run, with 10/26 as the first collection date.  If sponsors would like to make a flat donation online, they may do so today by CLICKING HERE.

We kicked off the fundraiser with pep rallies Friday afternoon at the school.  The energy was amazing!  From cheers lead by the Hough High Cheerleaders to high fives from our own Cornelius Cougar to teachers and students dancing, it was great.  We hope your students came home excited about the Cougar DASH!  Be sure to check out the photos and videos on our Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/CorneliusPTO.  You just might spot your little Cougar.

Our Batty For Box Tops contest is officially underway!  The class in each grade level who collects the most box tops will win a pizza party!

Yesterday in Thursday folders, you should have received an orange collection sheet. Please have your students fill up the squares and return them to your teachers no later than Thursday, October 15.  Any additional box tops can be sent to school in a ziploc bag or envelope marked with your teacher’s name. The school earns $.10 for each box top and that adds up very quickly!  Don’t forget to check the dates on the box tops – expired box tops can not be submitted.
