Our 3rd annual Fundrunners Fun Run will take place on Wednesday, October 2nd. Grades 3-5 will run at 9:00 AM and K-2 at 10:15AM. All parents are welcome to come out to watch their kids run and have fun!

This year’s theme is FundRunner Adventures! The Fundrunner team has been talking to the students about Teamwork, Creativity, and Endurance while they have been at our school. This year our goal is to raise $18,000 in order to fund classroom libraries for each teacher. If you have not made a pledge for your child, please consider making a $1 per lap pledge, or a flat $30 donation. This is our main fundraiser for the year, so please be as generous as you can.

Please have your child wear Cornelius Elementary spirit wear to the run. If your child does not have spirit wear, please have them wear a blue shirt. Thanks for your support!

Thank you Dr. Nivens for your dedication to our school this year.  We so appreciate your leadership and commitment to us and we will miss you!

PTO sponsored a staff celebration for Dr. Nivens before she left our Cougar Family.  As a farewell, Dr. Nivens rocked it out on the DRUMS today at the Character Ed Assemblies.  Students had a great time enjoying her musical talents!!  Best of luck at your new school, Dr. Nivens!

Cornelius Elementary School has 6 new staff members this year!!  PTO Hospitality is welcoming them with Cougar Water Bottles to help quench their thirst each day!!
