Jamilyn Liebler

President

Jamilyn, a former CMS teacher, and her husband John have two children attending CES. Their daughter Mylah is in 4th grade and their son Luke is in 2nd. Their family also includes their dog Sailor, and a gecko lizard named Gizmo! Jamilyn has served on the PTO Executive Board since 2023 as Secretary. As an educator, Jamilyn wants to remain involved with students and families within our community. She began her volunteer journey by coordinating wonderful experiences for CES teachers and staff as Hospitality Committee Chair. Jamilyn looks forward to a fantastic first year as PTO President!

Lauren Pleiss

President Elect

Lauren is stepping into the role of Vice President Elect on the CES Board, bringing with her a background in PR and a passion for creating memorable experiences. She thrives on building meaningful connections and loves finding creative ways to bring our school community together. Lauren’s favorite Cougar traditions include volunteering as a Room Parent, cheering on students at the Celebrate the Arts Talent Show, dancing the night away at school events, and making Teacher Appreciation Week extra special. She and her husband, Patrick, are parents to two outgoing boys—Clark, who’s in 2nd grade, and Klein, in preschool. Lauren is excited to support CES in new ways and continue strengthening the sense of community that makes our school so special.

Allie Spencer

VP Communications

Allie and her family settled in Cornelius in 2019 after several years abroad in Singapore and England. Her daughter Isla is in 4th grade, and her son Quinn will be in 1st grade. Allie has loved being a part of CES as a room parent and the chair of the Book Fair for the past two years. She values the opportunity to give back and stay connected to her community and is excited to take on a new role this year as VP of Communications. When she is not helping out at Cornelius you can find her chasing tennis balls at Jetton Park, or chasing deadlines for Lake Norman Currents. Contact Allie

Jackie Davenport

Treasurer

Jackie moved to Cornelius from Boston in 2006 and met her husband Will, a native of North Carolina, in 2011. Jackie is a dedicated parent with two children enrolled in CES. Brandon is excited to be starting 2nd grade, while Samantha is looking forward to her adventures in 5th grade. Jackie has been a room parent and is actively involved in the school community, enjoying supporting her children’s educational journey. She is excited to serve on the Executive Board and contribute to the school’s continued success.

Kristin Lester

Secretary

The Lester family moved to Cornelius in the summer of 2022 from New Jersey. They sought a new home where the water, weather and people are warm and inviting!  Kristin and her husband Kevin have two sons. Owen is in 7th grade at Bailey Middle School, and Aidric is in 4th grade at Cornelius Elementary School!  Since becoming part of the CES family, Kristin has served as a Cougar Dash Committee member, room parent, and co-chaired Cornelius Celebrates the Arts talent show. She is honored to serve alongside the rest of the CES Executive Board as Secretary!
