Tomorrow, Friday, 2/12, is the final day we will be collecting Box Tops for the February contest. Please send in any you have to your child’s teacher in an envelope or ziploc bag, marked with your child’s teacher’s name. No matter how few you have, please send them in! As you know, each Box Top is worth $.10, and it adds up very quickly. The class within each grade level with the most Box Tops will win an EXTRA RECESS!

Calling all CES mothers and sons!

We hope you will join us on Friday, March 4 at 7:30pm for a Charlotte Checkers game. Tickets are $10 each. You should have received information in last week’s communication folders. If you would like to come, please fill out the RSVP form and send it in to your child’s teacher, with payment, no later than Friday, February 19. Tina Guo, an internationally renowned cellist known for her distinctive style, will be performing with the Hough High School and Bailey Middle School Orchestras on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 7 pm at Hough High School Auditorium. The public is invited to this special event. Orchestra students from schools throughout the Charlotte area will also be participating.

A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $20.

Students will play music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, the Star Wars Imperial March, Game of Thrones, Mission Impossible, Rocky and many other favorites!

The concert is at 7:00 pm with a silent auction being held prior to the concert at 6:00 pm. The silent auction will include sports and music memorabilia, vacation packages, and gift certificates from local restaurants and services.

If you have yet to send in your RSVP and payment for the Father/Daughter dance on February 6, you’re in luck! Because of the snow days, we have extended the deadline until tomorrow, January 29.
