Your student(s) have been busy working on a special art project with Mrs. Kidd this year and now you have the opportunity to enjoy your child’s masterpiece for years to come! In last week’s communication folder, you should have received postcards of your child’s art and an order form, showing the many different ways you can enjoy the art (bag tags, note cards, keychains, mugs, cutting boards and so many more options). We will be taking orders now through Thursday, March 17, and orders can be placed online at www.artbyme.com/shop or by using the order form and sending with payment to school.

Our GROOVY spring book fair begins on Monday, March 7! We hope your students are getting excited. Students will be visiting the book fair with their classes to preview books on Monday and Tuesday, then return Wednesday-Friday to make purchases. Your teacher will provide you with preview and purchase dates. Parents, grandparents and special friends are invited to attend at any time during the week! 

Book fair hours are:

Mon & Tues: 9:30am – 2pm

Wed-Fri: 8:15am – 1:30pm

SPECIAL HOURS: Thursday from 5-7pm during Cornelius Celebrates the Arts

If you are unable to attend and would like to purchase books online, our online book fair is open! Books will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom. To browse online, please CLICK HERE.

Have you heard about “Pennies for Pages?”  We are doing something different this spring to help our classmates who may not otherwise be able to purchase books. If you would like to participate, please have your student bring the following each day. The classroom that collects the most money during “Pennies for Pages” will win a popcorn party during April Power Time, as well as additional books for their teacher’s classroom.

Monday: Students bring pennies

Tuesday: Students bring nickels

Wednesday: Students bring dimes

Thursday: Students bring quarters

Friday: “Free for all!” Students bring whatever they would like to contribute.

We are now taking 2015-16 Cornelius Elementary yearbook pre-orders! Yearbooks are $15 each and orders may be placed via cash/check using the order form that came home in yesterday’s communication folders or online by CLICKING HERE.

We will be taking orders now through March 24. There will be no extras available for purchase after this date, so please get your orders in now.
