The Cougar DASH is finally here and we hope your students are excited for a fun morning.  Our own Cougar, other special guests will be there to cheer them on!  You are all more than welcome to come cheer on the children, too.  Bring your signs, noisemakers and spirit! Here’s what the morning schedule looks like:

9:00-10:00am –1st and 2nd grades run

10:00-11:00am – 3rd, 4th and 5th grades run

To get into the cougar spirit, students will be bringing home a cougar paw temporary tattoo today to wear to the event. Please apply these before coming to school in the morning and have your student wear any CES spirit wear or school colors. And don’t forget to wear sneakers, apply sunscreen and eat a good breakfast!

JOIN US TONIGHT! Monday, November 13, Brooklyn South and Rivals are partnering with us for a joint Community Night. Brooklyn South will donate a percentage of sales back to Cornelius Elementary from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Be sure to mention you are with CES! In addition, Rivals Sports and Home will be accepting entries until 7:00pm that evening for their annual CES coloring contest. They will donate $2 per entry that is dropped off. Coloring sheets for the contest were sent home in Thursday folders and extra copies will be in the front office at school. Prizes will be announced and awarded to winners. Take the night off from cooking and start your holiday shopping…while supporting the local businesses that support Cornelius Elementary. We hope to see you there!

Principal Holbrook’s birthday is coming up and we want to help her celebrate.  Please send in birthday cards from both parents and students by Wednesday, November 15.  Your child can deliver them to their teacher or drop them by the front office.  Thank you for helping us celebrate Principal Holbrook’s special day!  Any questions?  Please contact Lena Graham at lenagraham@gmail.com
