This week, February 12-16, is Bus Driver Appreciation Week!

Please be sure to thank your bus driver(s) for getting your students to and from school safely each day. Students will be making cards in their classrooms for the bus drivers, but be sure to thank them yourselves!

We HEART Box Tops!

Each Box Top brings in 10 cents for the school, and they add up fast—what’s not to love?! Plus, the class in each grade that collects the most Box Tops wins an extra recess. Win-win!

This is the final week of the school year we will be collecting Box Tops. Check your pantries, drawers, etc., clip the Box Tops (don’t cut off the expiration date!) and send them in a ziploc bag or envelope to school with your student. Friday, February 16 will be the final collection day.

The PTO Executive Board is looking for a few good people! There are several open positions for the 2018-19 school year. If you’re interested in helping make a difference at Cornelius Elementary, have a few good ideas to share and/or have skills that may benefit the board and school, please consider nominating yourself or someone you know using the Open Position form below. Nominations will be accepted through March 1, 2018. Elections will be held during the General PTO Meeting following Celebrates the Arts on Thursday evening, March 15 in the CES cafeteria.

Due to popular demand, the Celebrate the Arts Talent Show has been extended to accommodate additional performers. The show will now run from 5:00-6:30pm. There are VERY LIMITED SPOTS remaining, so please turn your forms in as soon as possible. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
