Important Book Fair & Celebrate the Arts Reminders!

Book Fair Hours for Families:

  • Wednesday 8:15-3pm
  • Thursday 8:15-2pm and 5-7pm
  • Friday 8:15-12pm

All for Books ends Wednesday! Students can bring in their spare change to vote for who is covered with silly string later this week! The teacher with the most votes (cash) will be sprayed. Coach Wragg has taken the lead…. will Mr. Rosebrook catch-up?! Money collected will be used to expand teacher libraries.

Cornelius Celebrates the Arts is THURSDAY! The doors open at 5:00pm, and the talent show starts at 6:00pm. Sunset Slushies and hot dogs will be available for sale, as well as CES spirit wear.

The Book Fair begins tomorrow!

Hey there Cougars! Don’t forget the book fair starts Monday, March 21st!

Parents and families are welcome to visit too! Monday-Thursday, we will be open until 2pm and Friday until noon. The book fair will also be open during Celebrate the Arts from 5-7pm. Please stop by to see the great titles we have this year and to consider purchasing a book from your teacher’s wishlist! You can see your teacher’s preview and purchase times here.

We hope you’ll also join us for ALL FOR BOOKS! This competition involves a little fun, a lot of giving back, and a TON of silly string. From Monday to Wednesday, students bring in their coins or dollars to add to Mr. Rosebrook or Mrs. Wragg’s buckets. The teacher with less money at the end of the week will be covered in silly string! The money is used to help expand our classroom libraries.

Volunteers Needed!

Hello CES Families! Next week is a BIG WEEK at Cornelius Elementary. The PTO will be hosting both the Book Fair (3/21-3/25) and the Celebrate the Arts (3/24) events. In order to make these student-favorite events happen, we must enlist the help of our volunteers. If you have a few hours to spare, please consider stopping by to help make next week a smashing success for our kids!
