Don’t Miss the Yearbook Cover Contest!

It’s time for our annual Cornelius Elementary School Yearbook Cover Contest! We hope all students will participate in the 2023-2024 contest to show off their artistic abilities. To participate, have your child submit their original artwork following the guidelines below:

  • ALL artwork must be completed by the STUDENT ONLY with no assistance from parents or siblings.
  • Create your artwork on regular 8.5″ x 11” VERTICAL paper. Horizontal entries will be disqualified.
  • Write the student’s name and teacher on the BACK of the paper.
  • Include Cornelius Elementary and 2023-2024 within the artwork.
  • Draw bright and colorful pictures showing your interpretation of kind vibes i.e. students showing kindness towards one another, or a day in the life as a Cornelius Cougar. 

To allow our Cougars plenty of time to showcase their creativity, we have extended the due date! Entries should be turned into your student’s teacher by Monday, December 4th.  Principal Holbrook will review all entries and choose a winner. The winner’s artwork will be used in the 2023-2024 yearbook, as well as receiving a FREE YEARBOOK!

Hungry Howie’s Spirit Night this Thursday!

Join us tomorrow for pizza and Howie Bread! Take a break from the kitchen, and support CES in the process. Between 4-9m on Thursday, November 9th, Hungry Howie’s will donate a portion of every sale to the CES PTO. Go ahead… get the cookie too!

24 Hours Remain to submit your online Cougar Dash Donations!

If you are submitting your contributions by cash or check, please put your student’s full name on your envelope and have your child give their envelope to their teacher Friday upon arrival. Fill out your form and include all checks and cash. If you lost your form, print here or add student/teacher name to any envelope. Online donations can be made until 8:00am on Friday, October 27.

Donations received after Friday’s collection deadlines will not be considered for price level eligibility.
