Teacher Appreciation Week! May 6-10

Dear Cornelius Families,

It’s Teacher Appreciation week, and there is much to do to show our teachers and teacher assistants how much we appreciate all they do!

You should have received a detailed email from your room parent.  If you did not receive anything from your room parent, please feel free to contact Allison Labovitz directly so your teacher does not miss out.

Here is an overview of what we have going on next week:

Daily Gifts

Monday Morning Memo – Present your teacher and assigned teacher assistant with a special note of why they are such a great teacher.

Tuesday Treats – Bring your teacher and TA a sweet treat or piece of candy.

Wednesday’s Wonderful Words – Choose a word to describe your teacher and TA for each letter of their name. Write it down & bring it in. Example: Smart Mannerly Intelligent Terrific Honest (Smith)

Thursday’s Terrific Teacher – Room parents will present Ms Davis and Ms Bernado with their class gift and also bring in a favorite lunch for them. Room parents will stay to help with the class for an additional 30 minutes during lunch, so that your teacher can take a leisurely lunch. IF you would also like to volunteer, please contact your room parent.

Friday Flowers – Bring your teacher and TA a flower. Pick one from your yard or draw a picture of a flower.

In addition to all of these things, the PTO will provide breakfast on Monday, Lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Dessert on Friday for all Cornelius Elementary Staff!

Thank you so much to all of our great student and families for all of your help to make this a truly special week for our teachers and staff!  Your participation helps to make our school a great school for our children!
